Everything you need to get started with Protern.io with Alpine Skiing.
- Protern Sensor
- USB charging cable
- Bib that holds the sensor in place while training
- Protern.io Pass
- Carrying bag
An active Protern.io Pass is required to access you and sync your data.
The bib is designed to fit tightly over a race, or under, a race suit. Keeping the sensor from moving around gives you the most accurate result.
Because the bib stretchy, there is a fair bit of overlap in the chest sizes. Consider sizing up if you will be wearing the bib over a back protector, or potentially over a vest or ski jacket.
Why do I have to pay for a pass?
We are constantly working to make Protern better for you.
The Protern Pass enables us to invest and deliver to you new features like video syncing, acceleration data, detailed turn metrics, to name a few.
We get it that paying a fee each season is not ideal, but our promise to you is that all the benefits you get out of Protern today will only get better next month.
Which pass should I get?
Monthly passes are great for athletes who are looking to get Protern and want to keep the initial cost as low as possible. Monthly is also helpful if you are buying Protern near the end of your season.
Season Pass start November 1 and go to April 30. This will cover most of the northern hemisphere ski season for athletes who don't go to camps in the spring and summer.
Season+ Pass covers the entire season to the May 31, giving athletes the flexibility to use Protern at glacier camps in the summer and spring training.
Pro Pass with Protern Protection covers two full years to May 31. If you are in the sport for the long haul, this is a way to save a bit money. It also comes with Protern Protection included, allowing you to pause your Protern.io Pass once for up to 12 months if you get injured or can't train for the season.
